No stranger to the concert stage, Mari performed Honegger’s King David with The Orchestra of St. Luke’s and The Choir of Men and Boys (St. Thomas Fifth Avenue, NYC) as well as collaborating with Taj Mahal on Slain in the Spirit (St. Ann's Warehouse, Brooklyn, NY). Mari has been awarded Five Gordo Awards for Best Actress 2005- 2012, nominated Best Actress (BWW Best of 2014 and 2019) and was also awarded The Seattle Theater Writers Best Supporting Actress Award 2016. He has guest-directed several musicals at Cornish, including Nine, Quilters, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Grand Hotel, Lift, Company, and Dick Whittington. He has directed productions at many local theaters including the Village Theatre, 5th Avenue Theatre, Tacoma Actors’ Guild, and the Empty Space Theatre. In addition, Richard has musical directed (and/or conducted) over 60 productions in the Seattle area. As an actor, Richard has been nominated for three Gregory Awards (winning in 2017 for Murder for Two). He was also named as one of five finalists in both 2005 and 2006 for the Fred Ebb Award honoring up-and-coming new musical theatre writers. He has two musicals currently in advanced development: The Long Game and Cold Turkey.

As the Owner and Program Director of the Pacific Northwest Theater Festival, Corey brings a lifelong passion for arts education and youth development to this exciting event. The festival, hosted by Big Star Performing Arts, is an extension of her deep commitment to fostering creativity, storytelling, and performance opportunities for young artists.
Corey’s journey in arts education began with a degree in Human and Child Development from Washington State University (GO COUGS!) and a master’s degree in education from Western Washington University. She spent years teaching in the Bellevue School District, working with kindergarten through middle school students before dedicating time to raising her four children.
In 2011, Corey co-founded Big Star Studios, a youth musical theatre and performing arts studio, alongside her close friend Kathy Gehrig. What began as a shared vision has flourished into a thriving community where young performers can explore their acting, singing, and dancing talents.
Now, as the driving force behind the Pacific Northwest Theater Festival, Corey is excited to create a platform where performers, educators, and audiences can come together to celebrate the magic of live theater. Her mission is to inspire the next generation of storytellers and to make the festival a premier event for aspiring artists in the region.

Jessica holds a Bachelor of Arts in Drama from the University of Washington and has built a thriving career in the Pacific Northwest theater scene.
